NEWS: Featured in ProHardver.hu: SupremeRAID™️ SR-1010

” Graid has previously launched a RAID solution that has replaced a hardware RAID controller with a GPU, and an upgrade to the SupremeRAID SR-1010, the world’s fastest hardware of its kind.”

In terms of controlling RAID volumes, it is usually a big question of what hardware to solve. The hardware RAID controller is the most efficient option overall, as it is basically a targeted design, but it can be a serious limit on performance and complex storage systems. So if speed is more important than energy efficiency, it’s a good idea to choose an alternative software solution, and at this point, Graid is considering graphics controllers, as they are calibrated for massively parallel work, which can be optimal for high-performance control of RAID volumes.

The power consumption of the SupremeRAID SR-1010 has increased compared to the previous generation SupremeRAID SR-1000, it already requires 70 watts, but in the meantime, its performance has also improved a lot, so overall the progress is favorable.  Graid will start selling its fresh development early next month, but the company hasn’t revealed the price yet.
