消除傳統
磁碟陣列的瓶頸

在硬碟的時代，只需要簡易的ASIC就足以處理所有I / O的需求，即使使用SAS硬碟，單顆最大效能也只有大約200 IOPS和150MB / s的傳輸量。但是在固態硬碟時代，單個NVMe固態硬碟可以提供大約100萬IOPS和7GB/s的傳輸量。速度的差距導致傳統磁碟陣列卡無法在保護資料的同時，發揮固態硬碟的效能，最終成為儲存基礎架構的最大效能瓶頸。
